Hundreds of Exhibitors & Collectors convene from around the world

Schaumburg, IL (September 6, 2018) – Sunday, September 23 marks the 38th consecutive year for the Chicago Toy Soldier Show, which takes place at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, 1800 East Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173.

“The Chicago Toy Soldier Show is the largest and possibly oldest show dedicated solely to toy soldier collecting”, explains show managers and owners Jan and Roger Garfield.

You will find every imaginable type of antique and vintage toy soldier at the show, some dating back to the 1700s. There are exquisite scale-model soldiers that are not meant to be played with, only admired on the collector’s shelf. Visitors will also find new production toy soldiers in metal and plastic, made in the style of the old military toys. You can even find currentlyChicago Toy Soliders at Hyatt Regency Schaumburg in Chicago Northwest produced reproductions, often made from the same molds that produced the old soldiers.

Guests will have a wonderful experience visiting over 400 tables manned by 150+ vendors and major toy soldier manufactures from across the nation and from around the world. All the toys are for sale and there are soldiers for every budget.

Come and revisit the toys from your childhood and see history in miniature–not only military miniatures, but also farm, circus, and other civilian themes.

“We are so excited to welcome back the Chicago Toy Soldier Show and all its attendees back to Schaumburg and the Chicago Northwest region” remarked Dave Parulo, President of Meet Chicago Northwest.

The Chicago Toy Soldier Show is a kid and family-friendly event. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Adult admission is $10. Kid activities include treasure hunts, selfie booth in uniform, toy soldier gaming, and free toy soldiers.
