Largest U.S. Halloween and Haunted Attraction Experience Moves to Renaissance

Schaumburg Convention Center with 125+Exhibitors June 7 – 9, 2019

Schaumburg, ILLINOIS, (June 7, 2019) – The ultimate trade event for haunted house operators, Halloween retailers, entertainment venues, actors and makeup artists takes place this weekend.

Trade Shows LLC is also expanding the show – from June 7th to 9th , 2019 — to more than 60,000 square feet and coordinating an interactive haunted house tour throughout the region, so attendees can scare-up creative new ideas for building a profitable business during the Halloween season.

An annual tradition, the Saturday Night Costume Party, remains the show highlight. This event includes costume contests, a Black Light Body Painting Showcase, and a DJ with dancing.

Over 125 Exhibitors will be set up on the show floor and include Froggy’s Fog, FrightProps, Distortions Unlimited, Ghost Ride Productions, Zombie Skin, Paasche Airbrush, Zagone Studios, Immortal Mask, Creative Visions, Zombie Army Productions, and much more!

A pre-convention bus tour will take attendees to area Haunted Attractions in action within a 120-mile radius. The bus tour this year will visit D.E.A.D. Rising Haunted House, Midnight Terror Haunted House, The Massacre, and Basement of the Dead.- This tour is unique in the fact you get a behind the scenes tour of the Haunted Houses. Plus a question and answer period with the owner/ operators of these events.

On Friday night, attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to tour HellsGate Haunted House. Attendees will not only be able to go through the fully-staffed attraction, but there will also be a question and answer session with the owners and Zombie Army crew around a bonfire with food.

The Midwest Haunters Convention is family friendly. Children 12 and under may attend the show for free when accompanied by a registered adult. A dedicated Kids Zone area will be available with face painting, DJ dance parties, carnival games, a bounce house, a reptile show, crafts, and more.

A new addition to MHC this year is Haunted House Chicago Row, a showcase of some of Chicagoland’s top haunted attractions live and “in person” on the trade show floor. Attendees can meet with the creators of these events, hang out with the actors that bring them to life, and participate in contests and giveaways.

Other MHC attractions include:

  • Bloody Mary Monster Makeup Wars competition
  • Sinister Visions Costume Contest
  • Hardcore Hearse Club Showcase
  • Eye-popping trade show floor entertainment
  • Educational seminars and workshops

Says one former attendee, “MHC combines profitable business and decadent pleasure – everything from make-up, costumes, and prosthetics to décor and animatronics.”

Jennifer Braverman, Haunted Trade Shows LLC CEO also notes, “Haunters are actually some of the friendliest people I’ve met in my trade show career. They love to share ideas and outdo each other in friendly competition. We may be creating the largest-ever environment for them to do that! We not only attract haunted house operators, we host hundreds of actors and aspiring ghouls.”

The show was moved due to the huge business population in Chicago, the Convention Center’s convenient location (8 miles from O’Hare airport), and the venue’s free parking. More information can be found on the Midwest Haunters Convention website:
